Joani Scruggs,
Andrew Campbell
wed at Hilton Head

- Joani Leann Scruggs and Andrew Beamon Campbell were married on May 2 at The Westin Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC, in a ceremony performed by Richard Smreczak.
The bride is the daughter of Henry and Janet Scruggs of Clemmons. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from East Carolina University and is a registered pediatric nurse at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
The groom is the son of Carl and Joy Campbell of Atlanta and is a graduate of Georgia State University. He is a data analyst at Geofields in Atlanta.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Shane Slayton served as best man, and Michele Lynch was the maid of honor.
The bride’s nephew, Daniel Scruggs, served as the usher.
Flower girls included Hailey Scruggs, the bride’s niece, and Destiny McCurdy, the groom’s niece. Zachary McCurdy, the groom’s nephew, served as ring bearer.
The couple will honeymoon at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and return to make their home in Atlanta.


Price-Nail couple
to wed in April
in Huntersville

- Patricia Kathryn Price and Gabriel Keith Nail will be married at 6:00 PM on April 4, 2009 at First Baptist Church of Huntersville. Miss Price is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron K. Price of Huntersville. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Pat Loftin of Huntersville, formerly of Winston-Salem, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry R. Loftin of Winston-Salem. She is a 2008 graduate of Appalachian State University with a degree in business management. Mr. Nail is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald K. Nail of Cary. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Nail and the great grandson of Mrs. Ethel Nail, all of Winston-Salem. He is a 2008 graduate of Wingate University, where he was a member of the football team. He has a degree in business management and is employed by the State Employees Credit Union in Raleigh.

Watson-Danielsen
couple plan wedding

- John and Donna Watson of Moss Point, Miss., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Renee Watson, to Scott Robert Danielsen of Atlanta, Ga.
Miss Watson was graduated from Moss Point High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University, graduating with summa cum laude honors. She also received a masters of science degree from the University of South Alabama, also graduating with summa cum laude honors. She is a senior national account executive with Cypress Care of Atlanta.
Mr. Danielsen is the son of Steve and Janet Danielsen of Advance. He is a graduate of West Forsyth High and Auburn University, where he received a bachelor of arts degree. He also graduated from the Auburn Aviation Program for Professional Flight. He is a pilot for Delta Airlines in Atlanta.
A Feb. 28 wedding is planned at St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Key West, Fla.



April Cumbo to wed
James King in May

- Mike and Cheryl Cumbo of High Point have announced the engagement of their daughter, April Lee Cumbo, to James Brian King of Greensboro.
Miss Cumbo is the granddaughter of Doris Cumbo of Clemmons. She is a graduate of Southern Guilford High School and received a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from N.C. State University. She is a teacher at A&T Middle College in Greensboro.
Mr. King is the son of Gary and Linda King of Jamestown. He is a graduate of Southwest Guilford High and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is employed by the Guilford County Schools in technology services.
A May 30 wedding is planned at Wrightsville Beach.
