wed April 26

- Lauren Rose Watts of Clemmons and Daniel Monroe Harwell of High Point were married at 5 p.m., April 26 at Saura Garden in Greensboro. Pastor Allen Holmes officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Timothy and Rosemary Watts of Clemmons. She graduated from West Forsyth High School and UNC-G with a degree in interior architecture. She is the owner and interior architect of One Twelve Design in Greensboro.
The groom is the son of Choco and Ellen Harwell of High Point. He graduated from Weslyan Christian Academy and John Wesley College. He is employed by Furnitureland South in Jamestown.
The bride was escorted by her father.
The maid of honor was Sarah Leidy, the bride’s cousin. The bridesmaids were Lisa Harwell, the groom’s sister, Christina Kekic, Jennifer Buckner and Rachel Miller, all friends of the bride.
The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Jeremy Watts, the bride’s brother, Lance Campbell, James Vogl, Michael Naylor and Dennis Barber, all friends of the groom.
The ushers were Matt Phelps and Walt Phelps, the groom’s cousins and Phillip Klinkenberg.
Flower girls were Natalie and Haylee Johnson, cousins of the groom. The ring bearer was the bride’s silky terrier, Blitzen.
After a honeymoon trip to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will make their home in High Point.


Kayla Lewis,
William Matlock
marry April 12

- Kayla Nichole Lewis and William Shaun Matlock were married on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at Brookstown United Methodist Church in Pfafftown, NC. The Reverend Roland Barnhardt officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Graham L. Lewis and Kimberly Martin Lewis of Lexington, NC and the granddaughter of Roy L. and Opal W. Lewis of Pfafftown and Larry and Diann Martin of Lexington.
The bride graduated from North Davidson Senior High School in 2004 and is employed at Wachovia Bank in Winston-Salem.
The groom is the son of Penny Holcomb of Winston-Salem and the stepson of Gary O’Connell of Wilmington, NC. His grandparents are J. C. and Nell Holcomb of Winston-Salem and he is the step grandson of Rick O’Connell of Tampa, FL.
The groom graduated from Mount Tabor High School in 2000 and is employed at Lowe’s Hardware in Winston-Salem.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Danielle Lewis, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Krista O’Connell, sister of the groom, Lora Martin, cousin of the bride and Jessica Absher, friend of the bride.
The best man was Matt Wilson, friend of the groom. Other groomsmen were Ty Brunson, friend of the groom, Gary O’Connell, the groom’s stepfather and Jerry Bell, the groom’s uncle.
Starla Matlock, the groom’s daughter, was the flower girl and Ethan Martin, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
The song, Only Hope, was performed by Danielle Lewis, sister of the bride. The song, Butterfly Kisses was performed by Robert Jordan, friend of the bride’s mother.
Debbie Segrave, friend of the bride’s mother, was at the guest register and Nikki Martin, friend of the bride, was the distributor of programs.
After a honeymoon in Myrtle Beach, SC, the couple will reside in Winston-Salem.


Kelly Bledsoe,
Michael Lewandoski
to wed in April

- John M. and Vicky L. Bledsoe of Lewisville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Marie Bledsoe to Michael T. Lewandoski of Richmond, VA. His parents are Anthony R. and Sandra L. Lewandoski of Pittsburg, PA.
The bride-to-be graduated from Hanahan High School in Charleston, SC and Northwood University in West Palm Beach, FL, graduating summa cum laude, with a Bachelor’s Business Administration degree. She is employed by Business Suites West End in Richmond as a Center Manager and is a member of the Junior League of Richmond.
Lewandoski graduated from Plum Senior High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a minor in Political Science. He is employed as a Tactical Police Sergeant First Precinct by the city of Richmond. He is an Army Veteran in the Gulf War Operation Desert Shield Desert Storm.
The couple plans an April 19, 2008 wedding at Chimbarazo Park in Richmond.


Abby Martin, Duran Link announce plans

- Benny and Debbie Martin of Lexington announce the engagement of their daughter, Ruth Abbigail “Abby” Martin, to Charles Duran Link, son of Ricky and Donna Link of Lexington.
The couple will be married in a 5 p.m. ceremony March 15, 2008, at Friedberg Moravian Church in Winston-Salem.
Miss Martin is the granddaughter of Opal and Allen Stafford of Winston-Salem, Ada Goode and the late Norris Goode, Audrey Mize and the late C.J. Mize, all of Welcome.
She is a 2002 graduate of North Davidson High School and is expected to graduate from Wingate University School of Pharmacy in May 2009.
Mr. Link is the grandson of the late Bobby Link of Lexington, Joe Gobble and the late Judy Gobble of Mocksville, and Gladys Mitchem of Spartanburg, SC.
He is a 2002 graduate of North Davidson High School, graduated from Davidson County Community College with an Associates Degree, and attended UNC Charlotte. He is currently employed at Verizon Wireless Cellular Sales in Charlotte, as a regional manager and also owns a marketing company in the Triad.
