Brandon James wed at Tanglewood
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Julie Collins of Lewisville. Her maternal grandparents are Martha Eskew and the late Thomas H. Eskew. Her paternal grandparents are Jan Collins and the late Hassell Collins. The bride graduated from West Forsyth High School and Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. She also graduated from UNC-Greensboro and NC A&T with a Master’s in Social Work. The bride is a member of the National Scholars Honor Society and Phi Alpha Honor Society. The bride’s flowers consisted of pink roses with peonies and miniature calli lilies orniated with stephoniats and freeza wrapped in satin with pearl buttons. Her dress was a strapless gown fitted to natural waist with an intricately beaded lace bodice accented with satin trim and bow. The A-line ball gown skirt had tulle overlay with embellished accented hem.` The groom is the son of Tom and Marilyn James of Clemmons. His maternal grandparents are Alice Willard and the late Richard Willard. His paternal grandparents are Bette James and the late Bill James. The groom graduated from West Forsyth High School and is currently completing a Business Administration degree from East Carolina State University. He is an eagle scout and currently manages the Subway in Advance. The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Christy Duncan and the matron of honor was Bethanye Carrigan. The bridesmaids were Erin Foster, sister of the groom, Diane Dalton, Meredith Trottier, Olivia Eskew, cousin of the bride and Courtney Ramsey. The bridesmaid’s bouquets consisted of sebonia stargazer lilies orniated with peonies and wrapped in pink satin ribbon. They wore black tea length dresses. The best man was the groom’s father. The groomsmen were Josh Collins, brother of the bride, Chad Foster, brother-in-law of the groom, John Newman, Clay Whiteheart, Jon Kite and Ashley Newsome. The flower girl was Bella Kite and ring bearer was Ross Claytor. Program attendant/reader was Lindsay Parker of Boone and program attendant/register was Jennifer Haymes of Clemmons. Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Clubhouse at Tanglewood. The rehearsal dinner, held at Tanglewood Manor House, was given by the groom’s parents. The cake was made by “Cakes by Manfred.” Floral designer was Advance Florist. MTP DJ Productions provided music at the reception. Other music was provided by Cathy Dudley Dudley, Anita Cirba, Terry Hicks and Mitchell Johnson of Lewisville. The wedding director was Evelyn Barber. Wedding showers were given by Marcia Sexton, JoBeth Melton, Paul and Tina Ramsey, Erin Foster, Christy Duncan and Bethanye Dempsey. The bridesmaid luncheon was given by Martha Eskew and Nita Eskew at Childress Vineyards. After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple will make their home in Advance. |
