The bride is the daughter of Lyn and Jerry Johnson of Morganton, GA. She graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville with an undergraduate degree and from the University of Florida, Jacksonville with a master’s degree in education. The bride currently teaches second grade in the Jacksonville, FL school system.
The groom is the son of Jan (Dan) Collins of Clemmons and Gerry Davis of Winston-Salem. He graduated from West Forsyth High School in 2001 and is currently a student at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville. He is employed as a bartender.
The matron of honor was Rebecca (Johnson) McLaughlin. The bridesmaids were Amanda (Davis) Burns, Ashley Scott and Megan Thomas.
The best man was Dylan Davis. The groomsmen were David Burns, Matt Gaskins and Ryan Vecchi.
Ring bearers were Tennyson McLaughlin and Isaac Burns, two-year old nephews of the couple. Ruth Anderson, grandmother of the groom, was the musician.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at Casa Marina on Jacksonville Beach. A rehearsal dinner was held at The Lemon Bar on Neptune Beach, FL.
The couple honeymooned at the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia.
