Rev. Truett Williams officiated at the 7 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Cara Merritt of Lewisville and Ken Brown of Asheville. She graduated from Davie County High School and received her bachelor of science degree in communication with a concentration in advertising and a general business minor from Appalachian State University, graduating cum laude.
The groom is the son of David and Debbie Bowman of Clemmons. He graduated from West Forsyth High School and received his bachelor of science degree in business management from Appalachian State University. He is an Army 2nd Lieutenant in the transportation corps, stationed in Vilseck, Germany.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Elise Dickmann of Advance was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Becky Page of Advance; Alisa Bowman of Nashville, Tenn., the groom’s sister; Jamie Durham of Columbus; and Lacey Harrington of Dixon, Tenn., the groom’s cousin.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Brad Hanson of Clemmons; Matt Lavigne of Winston-Salem; Josh Bowman of Clemmons, the groom’s brother; and Austin Brown of Lewisville, the bride’s brother.
A reception at the Village Inn in Clemmons followed the ceremony.
The couple will live in Vilseck, Germany.
