Jachym, Wilson exchange vows

Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lee Wilson
- Laurie Amy Jachym and Scott Lee Wilson, both of Charlotte, were married Saturday, October 7 at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte.
Monsignor John J. McSweeney officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mark and Cathy Jachym of Waxhaw. She graduated from Sun Valley High School in Monroe and received her bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she was a member of Psi Chi. She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is employed with Daymark Recovery Services-Adult Mental Health Clinic.
The groom is the son of Len and Anita Wilson of Clemmons. He graduated from West Forsyth High School and received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. He is a loan officer with Chase Home Mortgage.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father.
Teresa Locklear of Charlotte was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Velvet Journigan of Oxford, Miss.; Jana Volk of Charlotte; and Amy Wilson of Greensboro, the groom’s sister.
Jon Foster of Winston-Salem served as best man. Groomsmen were Nick Goins of Thomasville; Madison Bunting of Wilmington; and Greg Jachym of Charlotte, the bride’s brother.
Faith Wilson, the groom’s cousin, and Stephanie Hill, the bride’s cousin, were the readers. Lauren Hill and Andy Hedrick were the attendants.
A reception at Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple live in Charlotte.
