Leigh Dickerson,
Nathan Watson
marry in Roxboro

- Leigh Anne Dickerson and Nathan Francis Watson were married on November 2 at Long Memorial United Methodist Church in Roxboro. The Reverend T.R. Miller officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dickerson of Winston-Salem. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in English and psychology. She received a master’s degree in psychology and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She completed an internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and a post doctoral fellowship at Stanford Behavioral Medicine Clinic in Stanford, CA. She is currently working as a clinical psychologist in private practice in Los Altos, CA.
The groom is the son of Reverend and Mrs. Bill Watson of Tempe, AZ. After spending much of his childhood in Brazil and Uruguay, he attended college in the U.S. and graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor of science in computer systems engineering. He also completed some graduate work in engineering at Arizona State. He works for a start-up company in Fremont, CA, as a software engineer.
The bride was escorted by her father. Honorary bridesmaids, all friends of the bride, were Karen Dunn of Salem, OR, Christie Westbrook of Goldsboro, Kristen Morrison of Wake Forest, and Stacey Swanson of Albany, NY. The junior bridesmaid, niece of the groom, was Amber Watson of Mesa, AZ.
The best man was Andrew Watson of Phoenix, AZ, brother of the groom. Other groomsmen were Mark Watson of Roseville, CA and David Watson of Mesa, AZ, brothers of the groom, and James Berkman of Sunnyvale, CA, friend of the groom.
The bride’s cousins, Emma Briggs, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Emil Briggs of Raleigh, NC and Amelia Stagg, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Lynwood Stagg of Jamestown, NC, served as flower girls.
Emily Bradsher and Molly Briggs, first cousins of the bride, were guest book attendants. The Scripture reader was Adrienne Bowers, niece of the groom.
Guests were greeted by Miranda Bunge, friend of the bride, and Lauren Watson, niece of the groom, both of whom also handed out programs at the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Savannah, GA, Hilton Head Island, SC, and Charleston, SC, the couple will reside in San Mateo, CA.
