Last week’s change in the weather seemed to signify a changing of the guard in Central Piedmont Conference varsity baseball play.
Competing at Rich Park on the field where they lost a key CPC game to Davie County last year, the West Forsyth Titans heated up as the temperatures cooled down, blasting their way to a 10-0 triumph over the defending conference champs.
The victory, coupled with a 17-0 rout of South Rowan earlier in the week, helped West maintain a share of first place in CPC standings. The Titans and North Davidson Black Knights both have one loss in league play thus far.
