Two years after graduation decimated their most talented roster of alltime, the West Forsyth varsity softball team appears to have made a full recovery. Fielding a lineup that is flush with senior leadership, has varsity experience on the mound and includes a talented freshman class that’s reminiscent of the famed 2001 group, the Titans are preparing for a run at the Central Piedmont Conference crown. After an impressive 10-2 win over North Forsyth last week, their CPC quest begins on Tuesday at home against Mount Tabor. “I’m excited, very excited,” mentioned head coach Kevin Baity when asked about this team’s potential. “Up and down the lineup, this is the best group we’ve had other than our ‘05 senior class.
