The playoffs, however, are another story. In girls varsity play, West remained within striking distance after a resounding 79-28 victory over winless Reynolds in Clemmons last Friday night. The West boys team dropped a 67-60 decision to the visiting Demons but still cling to post season hopes thanks to a favorable schedule the rest of the way. With a win at home over Mount Tabor this Friday night, the Titans could improve to 4-4 in league play and move into a fourth-place tie with the Spartans. North Davidson, which has split with West this season, is currently in third place with a 5-3 record. Reynolds and East Rowan are CPC co-leaders with 6-1 records. “It will be tight race the rest of the way,” mentioned West boys coach David Laton recently. “We’ll do our best to jockey for position.” The win over Reynolds pushed the Lady Titans CPC record to 4-4, keeping them tied...
