Jones, Boardman guide Titans past Davie County, South Rowan

By Chris Mackie - In desperate need of a mid-season confidence boost, the West Forsyth boys varsity basketball team found one in, of all places, Mocksville last Friday.
Taking on the hosting War Eagles in the usual hostile environment, the Titans put together one of their finest halves of the year en route to a dominating 72-58 victory.
Afterwards, West head coach David Laton reminded his young squad that, in spite of four losses in their first seven conference games, anything is possible in the CPC.
“We need some help to get there but I firmly believe that we can make a run at the conference title,” he explained. “East Rowan is undefeated but, like every team in our conference this year, they can be beaten.
“This win gave our guys a glimpse of their potential. We’re young (with only one senior) but we definitely have talent. We’re getting better each time out and the next few weeks should be exciting.
