By Ann Sheek - Clemmons Council approved almost 13 acres for voluntary annexation on Monday night. Public hearings were set for May 14 for zoning jurisdiction on these properties. Fred and Evelyn Harless had requested 5.46 acres of their property, on Lewisivlle-Clemmons Road, bounded by Culler Road on the south, be annexed into Clemmons. Duke Energy on Utility Drive had petitioned to have 7.8 acres voluntarily annexed into the village. Part of the Duke property is already located in Clemmons, and council approved 4-0 to annex the property. One council member, Mary Cameron, was not present for the meeting. No one spoke at either of the two public hearings held Monday night. Subdivision Approved A new 12-lot subdivision review of Roundtop Land Company, LLC for Lauren Acres was approved by the Clemmons Council. Gary Roberts from the City-County Planning Department, said the property is single-family homes, and is located on the west side of Kinnamon Road, south of Rollingreen Drive on 5.80 acres and is RS-15 residential zoning.
