[The following is an email sent by J.B. Davis, a former Clemmons deputy now serving in Iraq]
I hope and pray that this finds all happy and healthy. Things are good over here, the rainy season is almost over and we are getting a few days in the upper 80s. I am well, but missing home more than you can imagine.
For those of you keeping track, one year ago today I touched down in Baghdad International Airport to start this adventure. As most of you know I decided to stay on for six more months, much to the dismay of many, I might add. I have thought hard and prayed long about the decision and feel that my work here is not finished, so I agreed to another six months. I still love the Iraqi people, desire to help them and would love to see them become successful.
Just recently someone asked me how this had changed me, and what had I learned from this experience? I thought I might share a few struggles and observations.
