Second round: Civic Club golf tourney to return
By Summer Smith
-
Last September, the Lewisville Civic Club held the first ever Lewisville Charity Golf Tournament and raised $20,000 for books and programs at the town’s new branch library. The tournament was such a success that the club has decided to hold one every year.
“By popular demand, we’re bringing the tournament back,” said board member Ed Rachlin. “We had a wonderful time last year and everything went so smoothly, and many people have asked us to do it again.”
The tournament will take place on September 14 at Salem Glen Country Club in Clemmons. Golfers will pay a $65 entry fee and will receive free food, drinks and prizes courtesy of the Civic Club.
Proceeds will benefit the Civic Club’s Scholarship Fund.
