On February 23, 2007, a very vibrant, precious life was taken in a most tragic way. Johnna Eller, one of the area’s most well-known and successful hair stylists, passed away from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident.
She was 47.
Johnna, co-owner of Hair Expressions in Clemmons, was a caring and thoughtful woman who touched many lives. She had cut and colored my hair for over 15 years, and was the first and only stylist my 5-year old son Sam had ever known.
About every two months or so, I would walk through the door for my appointment and see Johnna, usually listening intently to a story of a customer and enjoying the company of everyone in the shop. She laughed a great deal and always brightened my day.
She and I shared conversation on many subjects, but there was nothing we enjoyed more than talking about our sons. Duston, Johnna’s beloved son, is quite a bit older than Sam. She loved reminiscing about his growing years and was quite colorful and candid when discussing his teen years. He was most definitely the light of her life.
But the most treasured memory I will always have of her involves... Subscribe to the Clemmons Courier, P.O. Box 765, Clemmons, NC 27012.
